Movie is a kind of industry,and also a kind of spirit enjoyment. Today I want to introduce one of my favourite movie — Schindler's List ,which is directed by
Steven Spielberg and showed in 1994. The theme of this movie are war and rescue. The leading role named Oscar Schindler, a Germany business man, saved almost 1,000 Jewish by hiring them to work in his industry,in the world war II. At the end of the war, he bankrupted since he spent all his money to help Jewish, but he is also remembered by thousands of and history.
The movie was translated from a novel which based on a real story. Since Spielberg is a Jewish, he shot this movie in order to remind people the history, and express his respect and appreciation to Oscar Schindler.Because of the theme and director's purpose, this movie is really heavy and serious, and that different from Spielberg's other works before. When it showed in 1994, in several areas, audiences can not take any food and drink to cinemas, and children who were under 10 years old were not allowed to enter cinemas.
Schindler's list was shot by black and white because Spielberg wanted to give an endless sense to the movie.The only different color is a girl in red coat.When Schindler saw her for the frist time, she was looking for a place to hide herself in a holocaust, and later she appeared as a dead person. Schindler was stimulated by that scene,after that,he decided to help Jewish. To today, when teachers in movie schools want to show the importance of color in a film, they would like to use this part. It is a very classical example in the history of movie.
The other factor is music in it. John Williams composed the score for Schindler's List, and the main instrument he used are piano and violin. The most impressive part for me is that the music in the holocaust. The song is sung by children, so it sounds very holly and pure, but in fact, on the screen, Germany soldiers are killing thousands of Jewish. Music and movie picture make up a contradiction.
Schindler's list won seven Oscar at the 66th Academy Awards and three Golden Global Awards.NO matter it's theme or it's color or the music have set an perfect model in the history of movie.
This is a very perfect film,although it is not a happy movie.I saw it when I was in middle school at the first time,but I couldn't understand it well.When I viewed it again several years later, I was shoked strongly.
