Yellow Mountain, Mt. Huangshan

BY:Will

Yellow Mountain, which is usually called Mt. Huangshan, is located in the southern part of China, where occupies an area of 1200 square kilometers in Anhui Province. It is one of the most celebrated mountains in our nation, which is credited to be the king of all the mountains. Indeed, Mt. Huangshan obtained a World Natural and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO Heritage Committee in 1990.Within a history of ages, Mt. Huangshan is renamed from Mt. Yishan in 747 AD in the legendary Huang Di, who was the regarded ancestor of the Chinese people and made magic pills for immortality here. It is Lotus Peak that is altitude 1864 meters which is the highest peak of Mt. Huangshan. Appearance of peak shaped like lotus, so it is named as this flower.Every bit of Mt. Huangshan scenery is worth painting. It is confirmed by almost the whole tourists who have ever been there. Do you know what the four unique scenic features on Mt. Huangshan are? There are its pines, rocks, clouds, and springs. The most well-known scenic spot is the clouds forming a "sea of clouds". That clouds on this mountain swirl around peaks and valleys. Actually, I could hardly find any word to express how beautiful it is.  When the famous traveller who is Xu Xiake claimed the Mt. Huangshan, he said that if anybody has been to Mt. Huangshan, it is not worth climbing all the other mountains, which is the highest value for Mt. Huangshan. Many tales about Mt. Huangshan spread among the local people, hiding it in mystery. One of the most interesting tales is that the visual spectacle of the Hallelujah
Mountains in 'Avatar' are based on one of the peaks in Mt. Huangshan. In general, Mt Huangshan is one of the most picturesque mountains where I have ever been.

Thanks for new information. Have you ever visited this place? If so can you describe your feelings or your trip? Why did you chose this topic? It looks like information from Wikipedia. What is the main idea of your blog?

What a big pity it is that I have never been to Mt Huangshan. The most charming senery in my mind is the "sea of clouds", and I saw it in my magzines before. By the way, I didn't know that Mt Huangshan is the king of all mountains in China before reading. Thank you for telling us
